Hong Wiun Kesterke
NEGAUNEE, MI – Hong Wiun “Ann” Kesterke, age 73, of Negaunee, entered eternal life on Monday, September 20, 2021, at U.P. Health Systems – Marquette, where she had been a patient.
Ann was born and raised in Taiwan and later moved to the United States in 1975. After arriving in the United States she went on to become a mother raising her two children and started a career in the restaurant industry working for various area restaurants. She later started numerous area restaurant’s that she owned and operated. Ann was the owner and operator of Hong’s Place, The Szechuan Restaurant, Three Happiness Restaurant and lastly the Happy Panda Chinese Restaurant. Ann was not only a devoted mother but also a devoted and passionate entrepreneur. In her spare time she loved traveling, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Smith of Negaunee, her two children, Sylvia Kesterke of Montgomery, Texas and Tim (Shannon) Kesterke of Covington, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jordan Kesterke, Ava , Brady and Dylan Zarate- Kesterke; one great-grandchild, Kamila Zarate Zarate; her brother, Hua-Miah of Taiwan and her sister, Twn Li Na Chao of Taiwan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
