Danny A. Matheny
MUNISING / BROWN CITY, MI – Danny A. Matheny, beloved and innocent child of Christ, died on Saturday evening, September 18, 2021, at the Parkview Adult Foster Care Facility, in Brown City, Michigan, at the age of 68.
Danny was born on February 4, 1953, in Munising to the late Guy and June (Steinhoff) Matheny, Sr. He was tenderly loved and cared for by his family since his birth. When he needed more care, his new “family” at Parkview allowed Danny to continue his happy lifestyle. He was special and enjoyed family, attending church with his mom in Munising, watching his mom in her flower gardens, camping, and going for rides – especially the ones that ended with an ice cream cone.
Danny is survived by his big brothers and their wives – Guy and Carol Matheny of Marlette, MI and Leonard and Lori Matheny of North Carolina; nieces and nephews – Brian, Scottie, Phillip, Brenda, Melissa, and Scott; and caregivers at Parkview.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Guy and June.
Private graveside services will occur at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
