NEGAUNEE, MI – Vince Norman Maino, 48, longtime Negaunee resident and most recently of Eben Junction, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2021, at UP Health System, in Marquette.
Vince was born October 16, 1972, in Ishpeming, to Paul and Karen (Revord) Maino and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1990. He then earned an Associate Degree in Graphic Design from Ferris State University and began employment at The Mining Journal. Vince recently moved to the family farm in Eben Junction and worked as a butcher at the Chatham Co-Op.
In his free time, Vince loved following and attending NASCAR Races. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers and Detroit Tigers fan. He loved feeding deer and turkeys on the family farm and would much rather feed the deer than shoot them.
Vince was a proud organ donor, and two people will now be able to go through life with the gift of sight.
Surviving are his parents, Paul and Karen of Negaunee; brother, Bart Maino of Minnesota; sister, Tricia (Mark) Anderson of Negaunee; four nephews: Trevor and Andrew Maino, and Jacob and Peyton Anderson; great-nephew, Bash Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Ailee Revord; and his paternal grandparents, James and Josephine Maino.
Vince’s family would like to thank Al Stemen, for being with Vince, at a time when he badly needed a friend.
Vince’s family is respecting his wishes and not holding public services. His remains will be spread at his favorite place on Earth, his residence at the farm in Eben. If you would like to offer condolences to the family, please send to 121 Sheldon St., Negaunee, MI 49866 in his name. His family will continue to feed the deer and turkeys.
