David James Darknell

ISHPEMING, MI – David James Darknell, 74, of Ishpeming, died Wed., July 21st. He was born August 6, 1946, in Reed City, MI, to Samuel and Julia Darknell. He graduated from Baldwin High School. He served in the Army from 1964 to 1966, where he was stationed in Germany and he was honorably discharged. He worked as a land surveyor for fifteen years, starting out at the hydro-electric plant in Ludington, Michigan. He lived in Marquette, for several years and eventually settled in Ishpeming, where he had a great group of friends, who speak very highly of him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, George Darknell of Baldwin, his brother, William Darknell, of Rexton, his niece, Teresa Maquire, and his nephew, Timothy Darknell. He is survived by his brother, Steven Darknell, of Ludington, his sister, Marlene Houseworth, of Lansing, his sister, Darlene (Duwayne) Fuller, of Manistee, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
