Cynthia Jean Mahaffey

Cindy was born in Marquette, Michigan, on January 23, 1960, daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth (Liljeroos) Mahaffey.

Cindy was a warm hearted, caring mother and grandmother enjoying every moment they shared together. She had numerous family and friends which she loved being around, she would create a glow in the room she was in with her great spirit and quick humorous sayings. She would often reminisce on the great times she shared with them and laugh like she was there again.

Cindy is survived by her best friend and daughter; Jody Lynn (Dave) Peterson, grandson; Ryan and granddaughter; Taylor Peterson, brothers; Steve (Linda), Victor (Valarie), Marvin (Mary), Dennis (Mickey) and Edward Mahaffey, a sister-in-law; Cindy Mahaffey and many nieces, nephews, and family.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister; Colleen, brothers; Gary and Robert, and Jody Lynn’s father; Jody Abbott.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Park Cemetery in Marquette at 11:00 a.m.
