Bonnie Emanuelson

Bonnie was born May 10, 1951, in Ishpeming, to Milton and Margie (Pascoe) Hakkarainen, Sr. and grew up in Negaunee where she attended school. She was employed as a cook for many years and also worked on her own in home health care.

Bonnie looked forward to her summertime visits from her dear friend, Marilyn (Brian) Davis. Her time with family meant the world to her. She loved baking, playing games and coloring with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Kelly Emanuelson of Ishpeming; brother, Gary (Claudia) Hakkarainen of Ishpeming; son-in-law, Dennis Swenor; five grandchildren: Tasha Emanuelson, Lindsey Illikainen, Dennis Lee Swenor, Travis Swenor and Amber Swenor; two great-grandchildren: Dawud Thomas and Reina Doyen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Terry Lee Emanuelson; daughter, Becky Swenor; brother, Milton Hakkarainen, Jr., and sister, Jean Dymond.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, August 7th at the Negaunee VFW. The family extends a special thank you to UP Home Health and Hospice for their years of love and support.
