Carol Jean St. Aubin

Carol was born to the late John and Barbara (Kratz) Raisanen on July 17, 1953, in Ishpeming. She was raised in the area, a lifelong Upper Peninsula resident. She attended National Mine High School graduating with the class of 1971. In her free time she enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, going for nature walks, getting dressed up and going out, crocheting, reading, cooking for a crowd, drinking coffee, boating on Lake Michigan, and spending time with friends, family and her dog, Sophie.

Carol is survived by her children, Dean M Larson of Ishpeming, MI; Mandy (Brad) Martell of Grand Rapids, MI; Cory Larson of Marshfield, WI; and Angela (Josh) Salmi of Marquette, MI, 13 grandchildren, Emily Larson, Hunter LeClair, Dylan Maynard, Carter and Brady Larson, Journey and Mira Salmi, Davis and Griffin Martell, Terry Prisk, Micaela and Leah Westman, and Jonathon Matson, 1 great-granddaughter Willow Waselesky, sister Nancy Raisanen and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank a special person, Mindy Westman of Ishpeming for her love, support, and caring dedication to Carol. Mindy was a valuable gem to her before her passing and she truly cannot be thanked enough. We deeply appreciate her for her caring heart. Private family services will be held this summer at one of her favorite places, on Lake Michigan.
