Wilfred “Bill” Coron

NATIONAL MINE, MI – Wilfred “Bill” Coron, 78, died unexpectedly at his home, after a short battle with cancer, on May 7, 2021.

Bill was born August 12, 1942, in National Mine, MI, to the late Wilfred and Edith (Trebilcock) Coron. He married Diane Falk on January 19, 1973. Bill served his country in the US Navy. He drove truck for over fifty years and accumulated several million miles accident free. He grew up in Marquette, MI. Bill loved camping and fishing and his two favorite spots to go were Colorado and Alabama. He was a loving husband to Diane for forty eight years and was an amazing father and proud grandfather.

Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Coron; a daughter, Carolee Coron; four sons, Steve (Michelle) Coron, Todd Coron; Ken (Pam) Coron, Scott (Jackie) Coron; three sisters, Marcia Hemmila, Betty (Don) Kinnunen, Charlotte Penn; two brothers, Dennis (Patricia) Coron, Ron (Jackie) Coron; nine grandchildren, Hailey, Shelby, Samantha, Korbin, Tim, Erin, Sara, April, and Andrew; and several great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bo Penn.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 2 to 4 PM, Friday, May 14, 2021. Memorial services will be conducted 4 PM Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Alwin officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
