Steven Peter Arseneault

ISHPEMING, MI – Steven Peter Arseneault, age 60, of Lowmoor Lake, Ely Township, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, in National Mine, while under the care of Kathy Jo Lampi, good friend, Peter Hansen and Upper Peninsula Home Health & Hospice.

Steve was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on January 17, 1960, and graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1978. Beginning at age 16, Steve worked at A. Lindberg & Sons for eighteen years. After retiring from Lindberg’s, he worked in carpentry construction jobs for many years, and finished his career in Key West, Florida, working for D.H. Higgins, a Michigan construction company.

In 1992, Steve welcomed the birth of his daughter, Alannah – the number one joy of his life – and he truly treasured his years as her Daddy. When he teamed up with Kathy Jo, Steve worked tirelessly building Kathy’s Shangrila camp and remodeling his camp/home. Steve loved hunting and was a proud member of the Section 33 Camp in Nestoria. He had a great appreciation for Ford Mustang cars and Super Duty Ford trucks. Steve also enjoyed traveling to the Southwest with Kathy Jo and visiting relatives in Arizona.

Steve is survived by his life partner, Kathy Jo Lampi; daughter, Alannah Arseneault (fiance, Ross Solomon, and his daughter, Milah) of Edina, Minnesota; sister, Patrice Arseneault of Edina, Minnesota; stepbrother, John (Heidi) Heikkila of Ishpeming, Michigan; nephew, Alexander (Katie) Kennedy and sons: John, Patrick and Alex of Leonard, Michigan and many cousins and close friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Edna (nee Lindberg) Arseneault, stepmother, Lois Arseneault and brother-in-law, Patrick Kennedy.

Family and friends will celebrate Steve’s life at a date to be determined. Steve’s spirit will always be in our hearts.
