ISHPEMING, MI — Julie Marie Quayle, age 63, a longtime Ishpeming resident passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Medilodge of Lansing.

Julie was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on October 4, 1957, a daughter of the late Eugene and Alice J. (Champion) Jacobson. Julie spent her childhood in National Mine, MI and graduated from Westwood High School.

Julie was united in marriage to Peter George Quayle on May 29, 2004.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and loved listening to gospel music. Julie enjoyed taking rides with Peter in their truck and also boat rides, where they enjoyed fishing together. She loved playing with her grandkids, and especially watching Roselyne at her dance recitals.

Julie is survived by a son; James (Serah) Walker of Naperville, IL, 2 brothers; Robert (Bonnie) Jacobson and Michael Jacobson, 3 grandchildren: Rose, Roselyne and Larry, 4 step-daughters; along with many special cousins, and several nieces and nephews.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Peter, ex-husband; Larry Walker, of Champion, MI and grandmother; Hilda Nikkari.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

A Celebration Service will be held at the Bible Baptist Church in Ishpeming at a later date.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery Columbarium.
