Jacqueline Maino

TUCSON, AZ – Jackie Maino passed away on November 14, 2020, at San Nicholas Assisted Living with her husband and daughters by her side. She was 83 years old. Although Jackie had suffered from Alzheimer’s for the past 5 years, she never lost her spirit or courage.

Jackie was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, the oldest daughter of John and Ruth (Rickard) Langlois. She graduated from Negaunee High School and attended Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. Jackie and her husband, Jim, whom she married in 1969, lived in Negaunee and Iron River, Michigan, Virginia and Baxter, Minnesota, and then moved to Tucson in 1981, where Jackie lived for the rest of her life. After a long career as a surgical nurse, she retired in the late 1990s as the Surgical Materials Manager at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson.

Jackie loved to read and travel and was a talented painter. She particularly enjoyed traveling with Jim for the Knights of Columbus. She always returned having made friends with many wonderful people. Jackie also loved having coffee with Jim (and their various adored pets) every morning on the patio and wine with him every afternoon.

Jackie is survived by her husband; Jim, daughters; Mary (John) Lambert of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Carol (Robert) Couillard of Waupaca, Wisconsin, her beloved grandchildren; Alpha and Janie Lambert and James and MaPhew Couillard, and sisters; Maxine (Robert) Gerndt and Helen (Ralph) Donato.
