Corrine E. French

Corinne was born in Ishpeming, on July 9, 1947, a daughter of the late Estella (Martti) and Elmer Skogman. She was a graduate of the Republic High School, Class of 1964 and then from NMU’s nursing school. She worked as an LPN at Bell Hospital Ishpeming for 36 years.

Corinne was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic. She enjoyed family game night, flower gardening, refinishing furniture, cross stitch, adult coloring books and doing crossword puzzles daily.

Survivors include two daughters – Teresa (Curtis) Laakso of Republic; Kimberly (Michael) Martin, of Republic; two sons – Richard French of Champion; George (Cathy Beltrame) French of Ishpeming; 4 grandchildren – Anna & Aaron Laakso, Grace & Ellie Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband – George French, in 2015; a sister – Myrna Skogman, and a brother – Dale Skogman.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at this time. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
