Marcia Ellen Taggart

Marcia was born in Palo alto California, but grew up in Wheaten, Illinois. She moved to Colorado after high school where she lived and worked for 10 years; attending college and meeting her husband; Robert during that time. She would go on to live in California, Iowa, Florida, and Michigan.

Marcia loved good food and company. She was always happy to entertain who ever showed up at the house. She enjoyed traveling and weekend adventures with her family. Marcia was a veracious reader, often spending hours a day with her nose in the book. She enjoyed watching movies; horror moves especially. Marcia was into collecting salt and pepper shakers; a large collection of which is proudly displayed in the living room. She also had a lot of ‘want to do’ hobbies which she never seemed to find the time for.

Marcia worked as a teacher until she relocated to Marquette, Michigan with her family. She volunteered at Sandy Knoll Elementary school for many years. Marcia would later go on to become an Optician with Shopko Optical, where she worked for many years.

She is survived by her husband; Robert, and her sons; Mitchall, Zachary, and Michael. She will be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, date yet to be determined.
