Carol M. Vadnais

ISHPEMING, MI – Carol M. Vadnais, age 84, lifelong Ishpeming resident, passed away on Saturday June 20, 2020 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family, and nursing home staff.

Carol was born in Ishpeming on December 25, 1935, daughter of the late Wilfred and Laime (Laurila) Argall. She attended Ishpeming High School graduating with the class of 1953.

Carol was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming where she volunteered with the pasty making committee and was a communion assistant. She was a founding member of a women’s card club, Carol enjoyed playing cards, going to casino’s, going for pontoon boat rides, going to the family camp, and spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by 2 daughters- Susan (Cheryl Jacobsen) Vadnais, Linda (Donald) Bode, 1 sister- Marilyn (David) Grayes, and 2 nieces- Katie (Kilan Marcotte) Grayes, Jolie (Matt) Maddock, sister-in-law and brother-in-law- Nancy and Bobby Kerkela along with numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband James Vadnais in September of 2014.

Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care they gave to Carol and their family.

Following Carol’s wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at a later date. Carol will be interred in the Ishpeming cemetery following her memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church at 801 Hemlock St. Ishpeming, MI 49849.
