MARQUETTE, MI – Eleanore L. Nesbitt, age 82, of Marquette, entered eternal life Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at home, in the loving, comforting care of her family.

Born July 15, 1937, in Marquette, a daughter of Raymond and Vivian (Gunville) Burch, Eleanore was raised in Marquette and attended Bishop Baraga High School. In June of 1960 Eleanore was united in marriage to Robert James Nesbitt and together the couple established a home and raised six children. Eleanore especially enjoyed time spent with family friends and was known for making people feel loved, a beautiful smile and big heart! She made the best pasties in the entire world, and loved spending summer days outside tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was very passionate about her career as a real estate agent and, during the time she lived in LasVegas, she achieved over one million in sales in one year.

Eleanore is survived by her children and step-children, Dan Wilson, Tom (Louanne) Wilson, Dianne (Scott) Fleury of Marquette, Faye (Sam) Elder of Marquette, Vickie Nesbitt of Marquette, Bob (Laura) Nesbitt of California, and Cindy (Will) DePetro of Marquette. She is also survived by her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Dahl of Marquette, Jennifer (Mike) Poutanen of Negaunee, Ally (Mitchell) Kolowena of Marquette, Andrea Glenn of California, Rob (Cheryl) Nesbitt of California, Mike (Delanie) Nesbitt of Nevada, Ashley (Jeff) Hagadorn, Sally (Matthew) Scrovinksi, Scott (Jenny) Wilson, Joe (Katherine) Wilson, Frankie Wilson, and Nick Maki of Marquette; great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Collin Fleury, Tori Poutanen, Elliott Nesbitt, Liana Nesbitt, Erin Dahl, Lily Nguyen, Brody Cutter and Vayda Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a stepson, Steve Nesbitt; and two sisters, Mary Ann and Rosie. The family would also like to acknowledge the great, loving and comforting support of the Rose family and Viitala family of Marquette. Marty, Sandy, Brant, Chad, Linda, Darlene and Georgette.

Theresa, Darrin, Hunter and Easton, you were her second family and she loved knowing you loved her as much as she loved you! Sing, dance and have a drink in honor of mom!

Honoring her request, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
