Joseph (Joe) Spencer Sharp

Joe was born November 2, 1944 at Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, MI to Clarence (Bud) & Irma Sharp of Palmer, MI. He attended Palmer Elementary School and Negaunee High School. He later received his GED and went on to the NMU welding program. He spent his career as a Certified Welder.

Joe loved the outdoors and deer hunting. He came back to the U.P. for many years during deer hunting season to be with family and friends. He loved animals especially horses. His favorite thing to do in his later years was to watch Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke and listen to Blue Grass music.

Joe is survived by his Sister, Sandra Dees of Knoxville, TN, Brothers, Rodney (Kristina) Sharp, Marquette, MI, & Jeffrey (Teresa) Sharp, Gwinn, MI.

Francis Long and Family, Dakota Beason & Amanda Savage.

Nephews, Jason (Dawn) Dees, Elgin, SC & Greg (Kerri) Sharp, Marquette, MI. Niece, Cindy (John) Dorn, Appleton, Wi. He was a Great Uncle to Emma & Gavin Dees, Jakob & Ethan Dorn, Helana & Kenzi Sharp. He had two very special friends, Ron & Betty Grace who were always on call & we thank you.

Joe was preceded in death by his Parents, Bud & Irma Sharp, Grandparents, Several Aunts & Uncles & Cousins.

Due to the Corona Virus, we will be having no Services at this time. At a later date we will have a Celebration of Joe’s life.
