Rose Marie Aho

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI – Rose Marie Aho, age 83, of Marquette Township and formerly of Sand River, entered eternal life Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.

Born December 21, 1936, in Marquette, a daughter of Herbert and Amelia (Czykoski) Fluette, she graduated from Bishop Baraga High School in 1955. On October 1, 1955, Rose was united in marriage of Kenneth Allan Aho and together the couple made their home in Sand River for over 40 years. For many years, Rose was employed at Marquette General Hospital as a switchboard operator. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed gardening and feeding the bird and critters that frequented her yard.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Aho-Ericson; granddaughters, Amber (Shawn) Nivison and Brandie Ericson; her granddogs and canine companions, Echo and Copper. In addition to her parents,

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, on September 9, 2011; and by her son, Danny.

Honoring Rose’s request, no services will be scheduled.
