NEGAUNEE, MI – Peggy Sue Farley, 60, of Carr St., Negaunee, passed away peacefully Friday evening, November 22, 2019, at her home, under the loving care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Peggy was born September 7, 1959, in Ishpeming, to Vilho and Norma (Robare) Tammelin, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1978 and was a lifelong area resident.

She worked as a CNA for over 20 years at Mather Nursing Home and the Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Peggy had a deep love for her family and loved time spent together. She especially loved following her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her family, playing softball, and going to garage sales with her sisters.

Surviving are her loving husband of 34 years, Jimmie Farley; 3 daughters: Terri Tammelin of Negaunee, Maria (Patrick) Dunn of Gwinn and Laurie (John) Casto of Colorado Springs; 7 grandchildren: Alex, Ian, Isla, Jamie, John, Jacob and Joshua; 2 great-grandchildren; brother: Alan Tammelin of Sands Township; 5 sisters: Diana (Paul) Sandstrom of Ishpeming, Karen Tammelin of Negaunee, Debbie (Bob) Rowe of Ishpeming, Gerry Pillow of Negaunee, and Terri Beaudin of Negaunee; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law; Louis Beaudin, Jr.

Honoring Peggy’s wishes, a Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 30th, at the Negaunee Elks Lodge, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm.
