CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI – Clara Sue Campbell, age 78, of Chocolay Township, entered eternal life Friday, September 6, 2019, at her home, in the loving care of her family and caregivers of Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.
Clara was born March 2, 1941 in Munising, a daughter of Paul and Henrietta (Rollains) Lukowski, and was raised in Marquette.
A devoted homemaker and mother, Clara especially enjoyed flower gardening. She was a talented gardener, knowing the various varieties of flowers and orchids, and could have written a book about their care.
Survivors include her two sons, Jay (Rene) Campbell and Homer Campbell both of Marquette; two grandchildren, Austin Campbell and Jay Campbell Jr. of Marquette; two sisters, Della (Richard “Tombo”) Borlace of Negaunee and Georgia Peterson of Marquette; two brothers, Paul Lukowski of Marquette and Jim Lukowski of Munising; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded death by her parents; her husband, Homer; several brothers and sisters.
Honoring Clara’s request, no services will be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice, 1125 W. Ridge Street, Marquette, MI 49855.
