Marian Basal

Marian was born in Ishpeming Feb. 19, 1932 to mother Myrtle (Burling) and father Sigurd Anderson.

Marian was enjoying knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, embroidery and taught ceramic classes/ painting for years. She loved listening to country music, going out dancing, going out dining, playing bingo, cooking and baking. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by daughters; Linda (Valenti) Bauer – Las Vegas NV, Elizabeth (Valenti) / James Krieg – Gwinn, daughter-in-law Connie (Dennis) Valenti – So. Republic, sisters; Connie (Oscar) Johnson – Negaunee and Nancy (Robert) Asikainen – Ishpeming, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews and relatives.

Marian was preceded in death by her sons; Rick Valenti – NV and Dennis Valenti – So. Republic and Nick Valenti – Ishpeming, father of her four children.

Asst. Pastor Hank Steede will be officiating the graveside service on Aug. 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Ishpeming cemetery.

A light luncheon will be held at the Mission Covenant Church – 1001 N. 2nd St., Ishpeming after the service.
