Jeannette Marie Hyett

LANDSON, SC – Jeannette Marie Hyett passed away at home, after 14 month battle with cancer, on July 31st 2019.

Born in Ishpeming to Aldo and Mary Scopel. She married and was a military wife for 20 years. Raising her daughter and son moving around the country and England.

She had a green thumb and loved having house plants and working in her yard.

She always worked after her kids were grown, her work friends become family. Many years she worked at Walgreens and Dillards.

Jan’s yearly vacations were spent seeing her grandkids traveling between Tulsa, OK and St. Ignace, MI.

Moving and raising a family made her strong and independent, being from a small town, having a loving family and friends made it easy for her to make friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Her husband retired and they finally settled in Landson, SC. She loved the warm weather and ocean.

Her heart was always in the UP with family, friends and childhood memories. Her last visit was October 2018, when she visited with family and friends, walked in the woods and ate pasties almost daily. While out, she enjoyed the smell of the woods.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, son; Craig Carter, son-in-laws; Paul Twork and many other family members.

She left behind her brother; James Scopel and family, daughter; Kim Twork, grandchildren; Kirsten Twork, Sienna and Tristen Carter, Robin Durbin, Irene Baldni and family, and fur babies; Bella, Shamis and Simba, many family and friends all over the country.
