PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL – Alan Arnold Lindquist of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away on May 10, 2019.

Alan was born August 31, 1934, in Rosalind Township, North Dakota to his parents Alfred Gustof Lindquist and Grace Mildred (Young) Lindquist.

In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Lindquist and his wife Jan who passed away in March 2019. The couple was married for 62 years.

Alan is survived by his children, Michael Lindquist of Gwinn, Michigan and Linda (Randy) McCafferty of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brandon Lindquist, Rebecca Lindquist and Ralena (Darran) Cairns all of Missouri, great-grandchildren Annika and Luca Simmons, Jacob, Chariss and Parker Barnard and Ryley Cairns.

Alan worked as an Iron Worker in his earlier days and later made a hobby into a business upholstering furniture. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and made sure the flag was hung outside on game day. He could fix anything and continued that mentality even after becoming legally blind.

Alan was well known for the gift of gab and never met a stranger.

A private memorial will be held for Mr. Lindquist and his wife Jan in June 2019.
