Beverley Delke

MARQUETTE, MI – Beverley Y. Delke, 87, of Marquette, passed away early Thursday morning, February 7, 2019 at her home in the presence of her loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice.

Beverley was born on November 26, 1931 in Oxford, MI to the late Henry and Gertrude (Moody) Carroll.

Beverley worked as a teacher’s aide for approximately 11 years at Rock High School. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and painting.

Beverley is survived by her children, Michael (Sherry) Delke of Gladstone, Deborah Johnson of Burlington, NC, Mark (Elicia) Delke of Trenary, Rose (John) Collins of Marquette, and Scott Delke of Escanaba; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren; siblings, Jacqueline Moses of Clarkston, MI, and Kenny (Barbara) Carroll of Lewiston, MI.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Delke; a daughter, Barbara Delke; one son Jeffrey Delke; also a sister, Shirley and a brother, Jerry.

Beverley’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 13th from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Donald Ludemann officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Rock.

For the past three years, Beverley was lovingly cared for by Kathy Washburn and Arcadia Home Care and her family is very grateful for them.
