Beverly Helen Louise Gariepy

AUTRAIN, MI – Beverly Helen Louise Gariepy, age 83, of AuTrain, died unexpectedly at UP Health System in Marquette early Monday morning, August 6, 2018. She was born on June 27, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Louise (Reiger) Huber. Bev graduated from Luther High School. She went to work at Lifschultz Fast Freight where she met and fell in love with Fran Gariepy. They were married on November 24, 1956 and together raised their two sons. Bev was a homemaker and loved being a mother. In 1978, the family built a summer home in the AuTrain area and Bev enjoyed spending summers on Lake Superior with her sons. In 1992, she and Fran moved permanently to the U.P. Bev went to work at Putvin’s Drug Store for many years and she immensely enjoyed interacting with the customers and community. She was a faithful member of Eden Lutheran Church. Bev was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
