Angela Reynolds

MENOMINEE / MARQUETTE, MI – Angela Marie Reynolds, age 48, of Menominee, and former Marquette resident, passed away Sunday, May 27, due to a motorcycle accident.

Angela was born January 23, 1970, in Marquette, a daughter of Paul and Alice (Butler) Reynolds, and was raised in Marquette. Like many young girls her age, Angela was active in Girl Scouts, enjoyed going to Girl Scout camp, swimming, and earned her certification as a life guard. While in high school, she enjoyed participating in choral activities and swimming, and also worked part time at Mr. Donut (now Huron Mountain Bakery). She graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 1988 and later was employed as a clerk at the Phillips 66 Gas Station and at Walmart managing the Baby Department and working at the Service Desk. In 2001, Angela relocated to Menominee where she held several employments, some of which included serving as a teller at Wells Fargo in Menominee, sales clerk at Menards and Town and County Veterinary Clinic both in Marinette. She was currently employed at Kwik Trip Gas and Convenience Station in Marinette.

Known as energetic and fun-loving, Angela had a passion for the outdoors and all that nature had to offer. She took full advantage of every opportunity to go motorcycling, kayaking, camping, and fishing. She loved animals and raised chickens and ducks and loved to take her grandchildren to the pond to teach them about the ducks, frogs, and fish that lived there, even letting them feed and hold them. She found great satisfaction being a mentor to others about the things she so much enjoyed. With her outgoing personality, she was a natural social butterfly when around other people, easily making friends.

Angela is survived by her children, Ashly (Ken) Adams of Menominee, Zachary Thompson of Green Bay, WI, and Stephanie Thompson of Menominee; her grandchildren, Anabelle and James Adams; her parents, Paul and Alice Reynolds of Marquette; sister and best friend, Jackie Libby of Negaunee; brother, Paul (Brenda) Reynolds of Ishpeming; step-grandma, Carmella Butler of Marquette; special aunt, Dawn Marie Butler of Negaunee; nieces and nephews, Fisher and Sydney Libby, Emilee and Madison Reynolds; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friend and companion, George Raygo of Porterfield, WI; and numerous friends and co-workers who will miss her friendship and fun-loving ways.

A Celebration of Life, honoring Angela, will be held at the Marquette Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 405, 127 N. Front Street, Marquette, on Friday, June 1, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
