Nancy Lee Martz-Sorenson

She was born on March 19, 1944 in Grand Rapids to George and Lois (Sorenson) Martz. She married Norman Brumm who preceded her in death and later Milton McClellan, who also preceded her in death. Nancy has spent most of her life taking care of others. She owned and operated an adult foster care home; where she cared for seniors for many years. She worked as a care aide in long term care, and spent many years doing home health care; where she traveled across the U.P. to many resident’s homes. Nancy was a member of the Wesleyan church in Wetmore and was very active often planning get-togethers, and meals for her neighbors at the Chatham Manor apartments. Nancy’s hobbies included spending time with family, reading, quilting, knitting & crocheting. Her greatest joy came from baby-sitting her grand-children and great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by children Jeanette Stebelton (Donald) and Annette Brumm. Grand-children Sharri Brumm, James Brumm, Michelle Demogola (Sonny), Jennifer Heyrman (Steve), Tanya Cooley (Ashley), Samantha Stebelton (Darrell), Hannah Lancour (Kyle), & Kaitlyn St. Clair. Great grandchildren Alyssa, Jaddin, Albert, Andrew, Gavin, Layla, Gabriel, Mason, Ryan & Ruby.

She as preceded in death by her husbands, sons Gary Brumm & Randy Brumm. Parents Lois Maddox and George Martz.

A celebration of life will take place at Sion Lutheran Church in Chatham Michigan on May 19, 2018. Visitation will be from 11:00- 1:00, with service at 1:00. A time of gathering for memories and food will take place at the Stebelton home in Chatham following the services.
