Judith ‘Judy’ A. Jarvi

ISHPEMING, MI – Judith “Judy” A. Jarvi, age 79 of 111 Bluff St. Apt 203 Ishpeming, passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 at UP Health System Bell in Ishpeming.

Judy was born February 4, 1939 in Champion, MI to John and Edna (Houseman) Snow. Judy graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1957.

Judy was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming and the Negaunee Eagles. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, baking and cooking. Judy also enjoyed playing cribbage in the Ishpeming Cribbage League and playing BINGO. She had a love for all her dogs that she had throughout her life.

The family will remember all the good times they had camping with family and friends.

Judy is survived by 3 children: Lynn (Bruce) Quayle of Sheboygan, WI, Doug Jarvi of Negaunee and David (Linda) Jarvi of Ishpeming, a sister, Mary Williams of Bradenton, FL, 2 brothers: Glenn (Toni) Snow of Sacramento, CA, and Paul “Bid” (Norma) Snow of St. Louis, MO, 6 grandchildren: Brian Quayle, Adam (Deanna) Quayle and Sara Quayle, Bethany (Brad) Perala, Matthew (Laura) Jarvi and Lydia Jarvi, 8 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Jarvi, daughter in law Vickie Jarvi, a sister Carol Talbert, and 2 brothers Johnny Snow and Roger Snow.

Judy’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00 am on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.

Interment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
