MARQUETTE, MI – Grace Marie Brassard, age 83, lifelong Marquette area resident, entered eternal life Monday morning, January 15, 2018, at the Norlite Nursing Center.
Born December 2, 1934, in Marquette, a daughter of Walter and Lottie (Carriere) Ogea, Grace was a graduate of Graveraet High School. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at the former St. Mary’s Hospital and also did housecleaning locally for many years. She was an avid BINGO player and a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey.
Grace is survived by her children, Tammy (Jason) Copeman of Marquette, Peggy (Rick) German of Lambertville, Patrick (Peggy) Brassard of Gwinn, and William (Carla) Brassard of Sand River; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, William Lambert Brassard in 1990; her siblings, Beatrice Voce, Joan Tuominen, Nellie LaPointe, Doris Trapp, Margaret Bliss, Mabel Coleman, Walter, Charles, and Paul Ogea.
Honoring Grace’s request, no public services will be scheduled.
