Charlene Hart

GREEN BAY, WI – Charlene Ann Orler was born March 18, 1944 in Norway, MI, the daughter of Peter and Lucille (Raymore) Orler. She grew up in Norway where she attended school and graduated from Norway High School in 1962.

Shortly after Charlene’s graduation, she traveled to Anchorage and was united in marriage to Lynwood Hart on June 30, 1962, her high school sweetheart. Lynwood was serving in the United States Air Force in Anchorage, AK. Lynwood spent his career in the Air Force and Charlene happily followed him wherever he was stationed. They were blessed with four children, Kerri, Kristine, Brian & Michelle. The couple made their home in Anchorage, AK, Warner Robbins, GA, Fairbanks, AK, Rantoul, IL and K.I. Sawyer AFB near Marquette, MI. Following Lynwood’s retirement the couple resided in Gwinn Michigan and then moved to Hancock, MI.

When Charlene was at K.I Sawyer AFB she began working as a floral designer. She continued this work in Hancock. In 2000 Charlene and Lynwood made their home in Green Bay, WI. For the next sixteen years they split their time between Green Bay and Surprise, AZ.

Charlene and Lynwood loved the outdoors. She took her family camping almost every weekend and loved to go fishing and spend time snowmobiling. Charlene was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was a fan of NASCAR’s Matt Kenseth. Charlene also loved spending time playing Bingo and cards with many of her friends.

Charlene was also a volunteer in the communities which she resided. She served Meals on Wheels, did quilting for her church and was an active participant in church events. She also volunteered at Happy Trails, the retirement community where they resided for the winters.

Charlene’s children and grandchildren were very important to her. She had a large network of friends whose company she enjoyed. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog, Macee, whom she brought everywhere she went.
