Margaret Pach

NEGAUNEE, MI – Margaret “Marge” A. Pach passed away peacefully at the age of 96. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the passing of His faithful ones.”

During the past several years, Margaret received secure and devoted loving care from her two daughters, while she was living in her own home in Harris, Michigan and recently while staying with her two daughters and son-in-law in Negaunee.

Margaret was born February 20, 1921 in Felch, Michigan and was the daughter of John & Ida (Timmer) Mattson.

Margaret graduated from Felch High School and then went to work in Chicago as a home care assistant. When WWII started, she worked at a defense plant and then was later a clerk for the US Treasury. While living in Chicago, Margaret married Joseph P. Pach on September 20, 1947 and they later moved to Harris to raise their family.

Over the years, Margaret was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, the Bark River American Legion Auxiliary and other various social and community activities.

Margaret was a wonderful cook and use to love playing cards. She enjoyed going out for rides and visits, watching enjoyable TV programs and was especially fond of going to concerts and other fun community events.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph and nine sisters and brothers. She will be dearly missed. “Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name. You are mine.”

Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Diane and Gretchen; son-in-law, Jim; four grandchildren, Tim, Anthony, Allison, Amanda; two sons, Joey, Timmy and his wife, Sue; adoring pets; and many relatives and friends.

“Return my soul, to your rest, the Lord has been good to you.”
