Terrence Levi Thomas

GWINN, MI – Terrence Levi Thomas, 79, died Sunday evening, February 5, 2017. He joins his beloved wife of 56 years, Eleanor J. Thomas.

A longtime resident of Gwinn, Terrence loved oldies and country music, reading, movies, bowling, feeding the deer and BINGO.

He was born July 5, 1937 in Wellsville, New York, a son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Barnes) Thomas.

Terrence served in the US Air Force, achieving the rank of MSgt. He was a member of the 87th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (Red Bulls) and retired in 1980 after 26 years of service.

Following his military career, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, worked with the Army and Air Force Exchange Services and then with Menard’s where he retired for a second time in 2016.

He was a member of the Little Lake American Legion Post #349, the Retired Enlisted Association, and a life member of Disabled Veterans of America.

He is survived by his children, Terri Thomas and James Thomas; granddaughter, Katina (David) Stauffer; great-grandchildren, Gabriel & Alexander Stauffer; and nieces & nephew, Renee Bray, TJ Feiden, and Stephen Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his brother, Stephen G. Thomas.

Honoring Terrence’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
