Glenn F. Fitzpatrick

GREENBAY,WI.- Glenn F. Fitzpatrick, 71, Green Bay, joined his beloved daughter, Debi in Heaven on Sunday, June 14, 2015, after a 16 month courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born on August 14, 1943, in Marquette, MI to Jim and Sarah Fitzpatrick.

Glenn attended grade school and high school in Marquette, MI, and briefly attended Northern Michigan University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army right after high school and spent the entire 2 1/2 years of his service in Germany. On August 31, 1968, Glenn married Barb Bonello in Wakefield, MI. Shortly after, they moved to Green Bay and raised two children, Jeffrey and Debra. Glenn worked for Proctor & Gamble. He was proud to be a veteran and shared his Army experiences with other veterans. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren, especially with trips to the zoos. He loved the outdoors, birds, and flowers, especially during the last months of his life. Glenn truly took the time to “smell the flowers.” He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events always cheering them on as an avid fan.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Rhonda) Fitzpatrick; son-in-law, Mike Schultz; seven grandchildren, Arynn, Ashton and Emaleigh Schultz, Andrew, Regan, Riley and Riann Fitzpatrick; a sister, Joan Blemberg; brothers, Don Fitzpatrick and Jim Fitzpatrick; several nieces, nephews, and his former wife, Barb Fitzpatrick, who remained a good friend.

Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra “Debi” Schultz; his parents, Sarah and Jim Fitzpatrick; brother-in- law, Joe Blemberg; sister-in-law, Delores Fitzpatrick; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cosmo and Florence Bonello.

Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., Green Bay from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Father Patrick Gawrylewski O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Glenn’s family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses at Green Bay Oncology and Third Floor St. Mary’s site, Dr. Jaslowski, Marci, Unity Hospice, especially Molly and Marie; ManorCare East along with their nurses, aides, and dietary staff, especially Mandy.
