Regina M. Forgette
NADEAU, MI. Regina M. Forgette, 94 of Nadeau, MI passed away on Sunday March 23, 2014 at Bay Area Medical Center.
The former Regina Marion Kregelka was born on November 24, 1919 in Powers, MI to the late Joseph and Stella (Hanchek) Kregelka.
At the age of 16 Regina went to work for WPA mending books. On May 25, 1940 Regina married Arthur L. Forgette at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau, MI. Arthur preceded her in death on March 28, 1989.
Regina worked for Midwest Chair in Nadeau until its closing.
She then went to work for Robinson Furniture. Regina was also the bookkeeper for the family business, Art Forgette Logging and Evergreens. Regina was a wonderful seamstress who made and altered many things for her family. She enjoyed dancing, especially polka’s on Sunday afternoons at Equity Hall.
Above, all else Regina’s family is what she loved most. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Anne’s Altar Society and formerly taught CCD. Regina was also a member of the Red Hats and a 4H leader.
Survivors include her son: Brian (Beverly) Forgette of Carney, MI; 2 daughters: Joy (Bill) Shesky of Marquette, MI and Bonnie Klingenmaier of Carney, MI; grandchildren: Jeff (Jenni) Forgette, Jason (Michele) Forgette, Jon (Lacey) Forgette, and Nick Forgette, Ty Shesky, Nathan (Sara) Shesky, Craig Shesky, Leah Shesky, Brandon Klingenmaier and Rachel Klingenmaier; 8 great grandchildren: Allison, Alexis, Morgan, Jackson, Grant, Holden, Vayda and Harlyn; sister in law: Inez Kregelka of Menominee, MI; brother in law: Bob (Pat) Forgette of Menominee, MI; nieces and nephews.
Regina was preceded in death by sisters: Leona and Rose; and brothers: John, Henry and Raymond.
Family and friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Churchin Nadeau, MI on Thursday March 27, 2014 after 3:00 pm until time of Eulogy at 5:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Father Michael Vichich officiating at 6:00 pm.
Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery in the spring. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at andersondiehm.com.
