GoFundMe campaign set for Ishpeming family hit by fire

ISHPEMING — A GoFundMe campaign has been started by Katlyn Rosewall to help her cousin, Ronda Dishaw, and her family following a Monday house fire in Ishpeming.

Dishaw’s husband, Weston, was in the house, which was full of smoke, and was unconscious and trapped in the bedroom on the floor’s second floor. The Ishpeming Fire Department and Ishpeming Township Fire Department assisted in getting the man out of the house.

Weston Dishaw was rushed to UPHS-Marquette, and then flown to a burn center in Ann Arbor for treatment.

The couple and their two children have lost their home, and will have to rebuild everything, the fundraiser description said. They also will have substantial medical bills and travel costs from Ronda Dishaw traveling to Ann Arbor.

The GoFundMe fundraiser is titled “Ishpeming Familiy in Need After House Fire.” People also can make donations through a benefit account at TruNorth Credit Union.
