MARQUETTE – Lali Kahlid will present a demonstration on photo image transferring at the Lake Superior Art Association program at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center.

A photo transfer is any process that takes a printed image, removes it from whatever it is on, and then transfers it to another surface.

Khalid will demonstrate methods for transferring photos onto different surfaces like wood, ceramic tile, paper and more.

She will also show how to further embellish the transfers to create photo memorabilia.

Khalid is a freelance photographer whose work explores landscapes, abstraction and documentary photography, but always centers itself on portraiture, hoping to engage people in an empathetic way.

This program is free and open to the public. The MACC is on the lower level of Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St.
