Michigan State extension to offer jams, jellies workshop

NEGAUNEE – Michigan State University Extension will be offering a jams and jellies workshop in Negaunee to educate the community about how to safety preserve jams and jellies.

Buying and eating local is not only healthy, but can help save food dollars. The rising popularity of growing and buying local foods has made food preservation critical.

Jams and Jellies Workshop will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 29 at the Negaunee Township Hall.

The workshop is free and there will be hands on experience with making jam. Pre-registration is necessary.
