World War II book discussion set
MARQUETTE – The Peter White Library Book Group will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Dandelion Cottage Room at the library to discuss “The Zookeeper’s Wife” by Diane Ackerman.
Based on the unpublished diary of Antonina Zabinski, this is a true recounting of how she and her husband, Jan Zabinski, director of the Warsaw Zoo saved the lives of 300 Jews who had been imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto following the German invasion of Poland on Sept. 1, 1939. New members are welcome.
