Marquette County String Orchestra forms
The Marquette County String Orchestra is a recently-formed organization for adults who play violin, viola, cello or bass. The group was formed to encourage those who played string instruments in high school or college to return to music making and refresh their playing skills; but all who are interested in playing are welcome. The group will be performing Christmas carols at the Westwood Mall on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 3-4 p.m. Starting in 2026, the group will meet once a month at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Marquette. The emphasis of the program is to have fun and experience the camaraderie found in making music together. (Courtesy photo)
