The Shipping Shop celebrated new ownership on Oct. 6 with a ceremony hosted in partnership with the Lake Superior Community Partnership. Owned by Corey and Meg Engelhart, The Shipping Shop officially came under new ownership on June 3. Since then, the Engelharts have been hard at work modernizing and expanding the business, ushering in a new chapter for the long-standing Marquette operation. With over 20 years of experience providing full-service packaging and shipping, The Shipping Shop has recently expanded its offerings to include printing, notarization, laminating, binding, and a revamped selection of gift items. New equipment, software, and signage are enhancing efficiency and visibility, ensuring the business remains a valuable and trusted resource in the community. Looking ahead, The Shipping Shop has big plans, including initiatives such as an app to help local hotels and Airbnb hosts manage lost-and-found items, a local artist consignment program to support area creatives, and an expanded list of printing options.
