BIG BAY — Nancy and Earl Bevins are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary on Saturday. They exchanged vows 75 years ago in the presence of two friends and celebrated their special day with an éclair and a Dr. Pepper. To this day, they continue the tradition of marking their anniversary with the same treats.
Nancy, 92, worked as a librarian for over 40 years while Earl, 95, spent 37 years as an engineer at Ford Motor Company. They raised their five children in the Lower Peninsula and in Washington, before retiring to the Upper Peninsula. There, they built a home on one of their properties in Big Bay, where they still reside today.
Nancy and Earl are cherished by their children, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and have two great-great-grandchildren on the way! Congratulations and happy 75th wedding anniversary, Nancy and Earl. Thank you for honoring your vows, demonstrating your commitment to each other and showing us how it’s done. With love and many blessings, your family.
