Over the March 8 weekend, the Garrow Accounting 14U Girls Tier 3 Co-op team, consisting of skaters from Iron Range Hockey, Calumet, CCJHA and L’Anse, emerged as the MAHA state runner up. Throughout the weekend, they achieved a record of 3-1-1 while conceding only three goals in total. Their journey culminated in a closely contested championship game against the Detroit Bulldogs, ultimately resulting in a narrow 2-1 loss. Team members are, goalie, Oni Heinzel; forwards, Tenley Goldsworthy, Harper Haataja, Valerie Hillstrom, Nizhoni Jacker, Lilou Mack-Hutzler, Aili Nelson and Ella Schneiderhan; defense, Bethany Garrow, Mary Gray, Sophia Hampton and Mazie Mcpherson, coaches, Brett Hillstrom, Jamie Haataja and Brian Rantanen.
