Lyndsey Lake, the daughter of Jim and Christy Lake, was recently awarded the first-ever Bill Christensen Memorial Softball Scholarship by the Marquette Senior High School Softball Board of Directors. This scholarship was created to honor Bill’s memory and his love for the game of softball. Bill was instrumental in MSHS’s inaugural Spring Swing dome tournament in 2002 and continued volunteering his time with the program until 2017, before his passing in 2018. He had a passion for the game unrivaled by most and he loved watching the athletes grow each year athletically and educationally.
