Stupak golfs in annual scramble

GLADSTONE -- The results are in from the Annual Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Golf Scramble Fund raiser that was held on June 8 at the Gladstone Golf Course.

Congratulations to the winning team with a score of 61 on the Par 72 course. The winning team sponsored by the Community Foundation for Delta County were made up of Jason Lippens, Earlene VanDamme, Eric VanDamme and Bob VanDamme.

Special guest golfer this year was Former Congressman Bart Stupak who flew in from Washington the morning of the event to support the local project of upkeep and lasting perpetual care of the Soo Line Steam Engine #730. The second annual event saw an increase in golfers and sponsors.

All proceeds from this year's event and all fundraisers go to the Community Foundation for Delta County for continued Perpetual care and maintenance of Soo Line #730 Steam Engine and future welcome center and museum.
