State DAR officer visits
The Onagomingkway Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution welcomed State Americanism Chair Patricia Dagle at a recent meeting held in Hancock. Dagle is a member of the Sophie de Marsac Campau Chapter NSDAR in downstate Grand Rapids and is serving a three year term as the State Americanism chair. The mission of the Americanism committee is to work with states and chapters to promote, celebrate and assist citizenship and patriotism in their communities. The DAR Manual for Citizenship is available on the NSDAR public website. The Onagomingkway Chapter serves the western portion of the Upper Peninsula and has over 60 members in a number of counties. They meet monthly in various locations and are all descended from a patriot of the American Revolution.
