Congratulations to Carter Beerling for receiving the Peter Bartanen Memorial Award presented by coach John Nebel at the hockey awards banquet. This is the Marquette Junior Hockey’s top award given out every year for Excellence in Leadership and Influence. Named captain of the of his hockey team, Beerling led by example both on the ice and in the classroom where he takes on extra duties as class representative and despite missing so much school (for hockey) which he attends make-up days for, he is maintaining a near perfect GPA.
