Sarah Smart of Marquette, Onagomingkway ChapterNational Society Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Contest chair, presents Benjamin Trevillian of Kingsford with the certificate, pin and cash prize for being chosen as the 2023 chapter Good Citizen winner. Trevillian is the son of Sara and Kevin Trevillian and is a senior at Kingsford High School. He is involved with Key Club, student council, plays three sports and is planning on attending Northern Michigan University in the fall to study health care. The Good Citizen contest is hosted by chapters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution every fall. The Onagomingkway chapter offers the contest to high schools across the western half of the Upper Peninsula who then choose a senior student of good academic standing with interest in their school and community. The student is then given the opportunity to sit for a two hour essay writing portion which is then judged along with a description of the student’s grades and activites.
