Scouts donate popcorn to Armed Forces

1 / 2
2 / 2

When Scouts sell popcorn in the fall, customers are given the option to make a donation in lieu of a purchase. The donation is used to provide popcorn to community helpers. This year, members of the Armed Forces are the recipients of the gifts. Some popcorn is shipped throughout the world to service members by the Scout’s supplier, Pecatonica Popcorn. However, Cub Scout Pack 395 and Boy Scout Troop 302 made the donations locally to the Coast Guard and National Guard. Representatives of Scout Troop 302 presented the popcorn to the 107th Engineer Regiment’s Rear Detachment in Marquette. The popcorn will be forwarded to the regiment’s headquarters and elements who will be in Kuwait for a mobilization mission. Pictured above are Detachment Commander Captain Hook, Scout Caleb Rayhorn, Specialist Shelly, an Eagle Scout and past Camp Hiawatha staff member, and Scout Jacob Baumann. Cub Scout Pack 395 made the presentation to Coast Guard Station Marquette. Shown below are MK3 Gallagher, Olivia Ellingson, Ti Moyle, Vynce Lentz, and BM3 Seguin. Information on the programs of the Boy Scouts can be found at https://beascout.scouting.org/.

Starting at $3.23/week.
