The Skandia Lions Club had a carnival in mid-February. Proceeds went to local food pantries. Lions Club member Brandon Bray said: "We had a awesome turnout this year with almost double the participation. They plan to use the donations to buy canned goods, and dry goods and a lot of fresh goods like eggs, milk, and bread. This event brings the community together for a day of out door fun, but fun with a purpose. That purpose is to not only help people in need but to bring awareness that local people can be food insecure and we can all help with that."
