The Marquette Elks Lodge recently awarded a $500 scholarship to Axel Vermaat. Axel graduated from Marquette Senior High School with honors and will be attending Yale with strong interest in economics and political science. Each year the Marquette Elks award two $500 scholarships to area high school seniors. For 2023 graduating seniors, the scholarship amounts will increase to $1,000. Interested seniors can contact their school counselor for more information.
