More than 20 credit unions in more than15 counties make up the U.P. Chapter of Michigan Credit Union League. Their 2022 conference, held recently at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris, was their 74th annual meeting. This annual event stands as one of the MCUL’s best examples of credit unions working together on their common mission, helping people and their communities. The event also recognizes those that stand out in the Upper Peninsula. An award was presented to Tracey Tippett of the TruNorth Federal Credit Union for UP Chapter Distinguished Service Award. Her volunteerism in the community and especially in the veterans’ community is outstanding.
